Pre school launches section names during this year’s Junior Science Rocks

Preschool (PS) students going wild over science enthusiastically participated during this year’s Junior Science Rocks! (PS science fair) entitled as Preschool goes W.I.L.D. – Wonder, Inquire, Learn, and Discover! last October 22 at Vision 21, Crossroad Center.
Because science is everywhere, the children are taught to observe the things around them using their W.I.L.D. skills. By seeing color changes, hearing various kinds of sounds, touching contrasting textures, and tasting different types of root crops, the students explored using their observational and critical thinking skills. These simple activities struck eureka moments in the classroom and stirred a new found love for inquiry and discovery. Not only did the students exhaust their five senses through kiddie experiments but they also used their talents in singing and dancing to entertain their mommies and daddies who were very supportive of the event.

New PS Section Names

It was but fitting to launch the new Philipine animals-inspired PS section names during the W.I.L.D. event. Starting the presentations was the class of Nursery-Mamag (Philippine Tarsier), which is composed of 12 wide-eyed tots, and the Kinder-Lumba Lumba (Dolphin) class with its 16 whimsicalstudents. Kinder- Pawikan (Philippine Sea Turtle) students revealed their hard but reliable carapace through 15 swimming sea turtles. The 15 eagles of Prep-Haribon splendidly spread their wings while the 15 birds of Prep-Apo Myna charmingly sang a beautiful song for the audience. Lastly, the 15cranes of Prep-Kalaw ended the event with an uproarious rap song that they themselves wrote.

It was definitely a fun and exciting time! More enjoyable explorations in the PS classes can be expected in the coming months. And to all parents and friends who joined the event, the PS teachers and students would want to say a “wild” thank you!
