A Christmas message from the President

Dear Meridian Parents and Aguileons,

Christmas is not only a time of celebrating the birth of Christ but also a time to enrich our lives by sharing the joy and the gift of giving to the orphans, widows and marginalized members of our community. This joy and the value of the true meaning of Christmas can be done in so many ways. It is Meridian’s aim to maintain sensitivity as an institution that makes an impact our lives not only in the things that we get but also in through the things that we can give.

I’ll take this time to enjoin each one to support our ongoing campaign to donate books and other educational materials to the orphans of House of Refuge, a non-stock, non-profit organization with a desire to nurture the orphan children. In this simple way, we hope to create another avenue for us to practice excellence with a purpose and to build the Solutionarian character in us.

And as we end the year, we look forward to the exciting times, as we become part of a larger community, the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015. The Board of Trustees has given us the go signal to embark on a 2- year harmonized transition in our academic calendar starting AY 2015-2016. This landmark change is in line with the foundational vision pillars, which promotes national and global education.

On this note, I hope that we can truly reflect on the true meaning of Christmas in light of our quest for teaching and preparing our children for life.

We wish you a blessed and meaningful CHRISTmas!
